reusability

Once the candles have expired the delicate Bone China vessels can be washed and repurposed in a multitude of ways, from elegant storage to chic planters.

the perpetual candle

The bone china vessels are designed to be washed and reused again and again, with this in mind, Heloise created the ’Perpetual Candle’, a unique candle refill service offering luxury Scentscapes® in a sustainable way.

tradition

Hand-made using traditional techniques, the manufacturing of our bone china, hexagonal vessels is carried out by a highly skilled family-owned factory based in Stoke-on-Trent, a city shaped by it’s heritage of ceramic production.

supporting british heritage

Each votive slip is hand poured using materials sourced in the UK, before being air dried and individually trimmed to perfection by hand.

They are then carefully and efficiently stacked inside the kiln to be fired overnight. Still warm to the touch, the vessels are removed from the kiln the next morning, ready for hand finishing and final checking.

Each perfectly delicate vessel is then ready to be filled with our plant based waxes, each scent having been thoughtfully curated using the finest, ethically sourced essential oils.

quality

Our Fine Bone China vessels are made by hand with sustainably sourced materials. All our scented candles are poured by hand in Britain and our Scentscapes® are carefully blended using natural ingredients of the highest quality.

sustainability and attention to detail

Our Fine Bone China vessels are 100% made in England. The manufacturing process still has its roots firmly planted in a traditional, and environmentally sustainable process. The plant based candle wax is non-toxic, with cotton wicks to ensure a safe, clean burn, and our natural essential oils used for their scents are ethically sourced.

Where possible, each box within the range has been created to be reusable, with removable interiors to enable the customer to store their belongings in the beautifully designed boxes which are all hand made in Britain.

We use paper made from recycled coffee cups to wrap the recycled card box frames.

Using innovative CupCyclingTM technology, our papers take 90% of the waste of each paper cup and convert it back into FSC certified paper, with the other 10% plastic waste being recovered and recycled into something new.

Our adhesive labels are made from Begasse, which is the fibre that remains after the juice has been extracted from the sugar cane plant. Bagasse is an abundant agricultural byproduct and will decompose naturally in the environment.

And our box ribbon is made from sustainable, climate positive linen which has been hand-dyed using locally foraged forsythia by sustainable interior textile experts @clothcollective.co

Each piece of the brand’s packaging is made, where possible, from recycled materials and are recyclable or compostable.

From product to packaging, each element of the Heloise O Hagan offering is consciously & considerately made in Britain.
